Peak One Disc Golf Course

Holes: 27 Hole Course

Location: Frisco Adventure Park, 621 Recreation Way, Frisco, CO

Hours of operation: 6:00am - 10:00pm Daily (if not privately rented)

Parking: Free near the multi-purpose field/ball field. These coordinates take you to the main disc golf parking lot and official sign. (39°34'32.3"N 106°04'35.8"W). Additional parking near Day Lodge and Nordic Center.

Bathrooms: Frisco Day Lodge & Nordic Center. Port-a-Potty at disc golf parking area.

Frisco Adventure Park is a favorite among locals and visitors for its expansive views, rotating course layout, and unforgiving nature. This course has 27 total holes: 18 on the front with 9 additional holes on the back. Offering 3 styles of play within one course (18 Holes, 27 Holes, & Back 9 Holes). The course sits a few minutes from downtown Frisco, making it easy to access with plenty of parking. It offers a mix of open fairways and narrow wooded holes, providing a balanced challenge for all skill levels.


Keep an eye on your disc because the trees have arms. I'd recommended packing a disc retrieval device. The course is adjacent to Lake Dillion, wind can impact your game, especially as you move closer to towards the water. Concrete tee pads (except the relocation of hole 1), great signage, and bench seating. Waste bins are at the parking lot and on hole 8. Please don't leave waste on the course, unless properly disposed of.


The course has views of the Ten Mile Range and Lake Dillion, creating an incredibly scenic backdrop. The terrain is mostly flat with some gentle slopes, making it accessible for families and beginners. This area is popular and gets a lot of use, prepare for dusty conditions. The layout gives the impression of isolation, however cutting through will bring you back to the beginning and parking area.

This course was founded in memory of Rick Karden, a long-time advocate of Colorado disc golf and beloved teacher at Summit High School. It's a great course to warm up your throws at elevation. Very few obstacles, perfect for working on distance accuracy. Gravel tee pads, great signage, and no amenities. Tee pads are slick with the gravel, but course improvements are in mind for the future. Wonderful views and adjacent to the bike path. If you plan on riding by, pack some discs and get some throws in as well!

Lake Dillon Disc Golf Course


Holes: 18 Hole Course

The town of Dillon offers two incredible disc golf courses: Dillon Lake Course and the Dillion Family Course. Dillion Lake Course is comparable to Frisco's course in terms of technicality, shot shaping, and rotating course layout. Concrete tee pads, great signage, and incredible views. There is a lot more elevation gain/loss when playing Dillion. Prepare to play and get some quality hiking in, getting to the first tee pad will take about 10 minutes from the parking lot.


The Dillon Lake Course features long holes with challenging elevation changes, perfect for players looking to test their distance and accuracy. Prepare for limited amenities once you start hiking to hole one and begin playing.

Dillion Family Course

Dillion Family Course is for everyone! If this is your first time playing, this course will help build confidence with shorter holes that make pars feel possible. If you're a seasoned player, this is a great course to practice, sharpen skills, and master your throws at elevation. Baskets stay up year round making this a perfect course for any season.


One layout, concrete tee pads, and good signage. The layout is relatively compact so always keep an eye out for discs and let others know if yours is heading there way. Play twice and see how you improve. Or warm up at the family course before playing Dillion.

Arapahoe Basin Disc Golf Course


Holes: 20 Hole Course

Location: 28194 Highway 6 Dillion, CO 80435

Hours of operation: 9:00am until Dusk

Parking: Free parking at the base of Arapahoe Basin Ski Area

Known primarily for its ski area, Arapahoe Basin also hosts a unique disc golf course that takes advantage of the mountain terrain. This course offers a more rugged experience with unbeatable views of the surrounding peaks. This course is best suited for experienced players comfortable with significant elevation changes, high-stakes throws, and tighter fairways. There are two course layouts, 18 holes and 20 holes.


There are several holes on this course that traverse steep ski runs or have you throwing directly down these runs. I'd recommend packing some 'junk' discs that you wouldn't be afraid to loose should they have a mind of their own on riskier holes. Be prepared for cooler temperatures, after-noon storms, no access to amenities once you start playing, and the powerful sun. After the round, eat at A - Basin's restaurant and enjoy the views!

Maryland Creek Park

Holes: 9 Hole Course

Location: 20 Maryland Creek Ln, Silverthorne, CO 80498

Silverthorne's disc golf course is a hidden gem located near the Summit Sky Ranch neighborhood and dog park. This course is great if you like playing shorter courses with open terrain and fewer opportunities to lose a disc. The layout is incredibly open for the first few holes, then it tucks back into an aspen grove before quickly opening back up again. This course is beginner and family friendly.


This course is perfect for families and casual players. It’s flat and easy to navigate, with great amenities such as public restrooms, a place to fill your water bottle, and plenty of benches along the walking path that weaves around the course.

Course Etiquette and Need to Knows


Playing disc golf in Summit County means respecting the environment, other people, and having fun. Here are some key points to keep in mind:


  • Altitude! This will impact the discs flight.


  • Flying discs! Keep an eye out and let others know if your disc may hit them.


  • Wildlife is always something to be aware of. While larger mammals generally stay further away from populated areas, situational awareness is key. Rodents and small mammals are generally the creatures you'll see while playing.


  • Trash and recycling cans may be available at the course. Please do not leave waste on the course. Pack out what you pack in! We respect Leave No Trace principles.


  • Playing slow? No problem! Let faster players/groups pass to maintain flow.


  • Most courses are in multi-use areas, watch out and be respectful of other users.


  • All courses mentioned above are dog friendly! Please clean up after your pet and always maintain control of them.



Navigating Breckenridge, Colorado: Transportation, Parking, and Transit

Breckenridge draws visitors year-round with its stunning mountain views, charming town, and endless outdoor activities. Driving here can be part of the adventure, but parking and navigating the town can require some planning. Staying at the Wedgewood Lodge offers a cozy base, but once you arrive, you might find it easier to leave the car behind. This guide provides tips for getting to Breckenridge, parking at Wedgewood Lodge and in town, and how to enjoy local adventures without the hassle of driving.

Getting to Breckenridge by Car


Breckenridge sits about 80 miles west of Denver. The most direct route to Breckenridge from Denver or Denver International Airport (DIA) is via Interstate 70.


A longer alternative route, via Highway 285, will also bring you to Breckenridge.


Both drives are incredibly scenic and offer different types of mountain driving. Selecting the best route for your trip is important, especially for the season you're traveling. Breckenridge changes with the seasons, and so do driving conditions.


Before you hit the road:


  • Check weather and road conditions on Colorado Department of Transportation’s (CDOT) website.

  • Allow extra travel time especially during peak seasons, weekends, and during construction projects.

  • Be aware of CDOT's traffic restrictions during the winter months.

    • In short, cars may be required to have either adequate snow tires or 4WD/AWD and may be required during the most severe weather to have chains or AutoSock installed.

    • Monitor the traction laws in effect at COTrip.org or with their mobile app.


The weather and conditions you experience in Denver DO NOT determine the conditions you'll experience as you drive to Breckenridge. This is especialy true in the winter. Slow down, be patient, and prepare for delays. Interstate 70 and Highway 285 are main arteries that provide access to many different destinations and ski resorts. Typically, you'll experience traffic coming up to Breckenridge on Friday's. The same is true when departing back to Denver on Sunday.


Getting to Breckenridge by Shuttle


There are a number of different shuttle companies that operate from Denver International Airport (DIA) to Breckenridge. You can reserve a private shuttle or a shared shuttle ride. It's recommended that reservations be made in advance, especially if you're traveling during the holidays, other peak times throughout the season, or if you're looking to reserve a seat on a shared shuttle ride.


Shared shuttles are great for solo travelers, small groups and couples, and folks looking to reduce their overall transportation expenses. Please note that shared shuttles run during specific operational hours. If you're arriving at DIA late in the evening or very early in the morning, you may need to wait at the airport for the soonest available shared shuttle. This also applies if you need to leave Breckenridge at a very early or late hour.

Private shuttles are more expensive than shared shuttles, but they offer a number of unique benefits. Private shuttles are perfect for large groups, families, folks that enjoy the company of their own party, and people or parties that have flights outside of operational hours for shared shuttles. Additionally, you get door-to-door service without having to wait or make additional stops.

Getting to Breckenridge by Ride Share


Uber and Lyft are the most prevalent and popular ride share platforms in Colorado. Booking a ride from Denver to Breckenridge can be done simply. However, getting a ride from Breckenridge to Denver is not always as straight forward. While Uber and Lyft operate in Breckenridge, most drivers commute from other places to Summit County during popular times such as holidays and weekends, therefore it's not always the most reliable option. Ride share platforms in Summit County can frequently take additional time to connect you with a driver, or indicate that no drivers are available.


If you plan on using a ride share platform as your way to and from Breckenridge, please schedule a ride in advance, especially for your departure from Breckenridge. Ride share drivers operate on their own schedule, having a backup plan is worth considering.


Getting to Breckenridge by Public Transportation


The most affordable way to get to Breckenridge from Denver or Denver International Airport (DIA) is via public transportation. The first thing you'll want to do is get to Union Station. If you're coming from DIA you'll need to take the RTD rail service. The A Line costs $10.50 and will get you from DIA to Union Station.


From Union Station, take the Bustang West Line towards Grand Juntion. Get off at the Frisco Bus Station. Connect to the free Summit Stage bus to Breckenridge. You'll get dropped off at Breckenridge Station. Once there you'll get on the FreeRide bus to get to your final destination. If you're staying at the Wedgewood Lodge, you'll want to hop on either the Gray (summer) or Yellow (winter) route going South. The 'Snowflake' stop is the closest stop to the lodge. When you get off you'll walk 1 - 2 minutes down across the street to Wedgewood Lodge.


In addition to the Colorado Department of Transportations Bustang West service, which stops in Frisco, the Pegasus service also runs from Denver Union Station to Frisco and the Snowstang service runs directly from Denver to Breckenridge.


Parking at Wedgewood Lodge


Parking in Breckenridge Colorado is limited due to space constraints.

The town enforces strict parking regulations. Wedgewood Lodge stands out among other local properties because we offer free parking as well as guarantee one unassigned parking spot per unit.


Wedgewood Lodge has an underground parking garage, outside parking at the rear of our property and two street spots on 4 O'Clock Road. We have four Charge Point stations inside the garage for guests to charge their electric vehicles. There are two handicap accessible spots located inside the garage, that require proper permits. Parking is first come, first serve.


Each unit receives one parking pass. If you are traveling with multiple vehicles, you can call on the day of your arrival to inquire about getting an additional parking pass. Getting an additional parking pass is not guaranteed. If we are unable to provide a second parking pass, additional vehicles will need to pay for overnight parking in town.


Overnight paid parking in town can fill up quickly. In the summer, the Stephen C. Ice Arena allows paid overnight parking for standard sized vehicles. In the winter, the Stephen C. Ice Arena and the Breckenridge Nordic Center allow overnight paid parking. Reservations can be made in advance by going online to Breck Park's website, or you can click the link below.


Oversized vehicles such as RV's, trailers, buses, and campers are not allowed to park at Wedgewood Lodge. Guests with oversized vehicles will need to pay for overnight parking in town at the Runway Oversized Lot. Reservations can be made online at Breck Park's website, or you can click the link below.



Parking Regulations in Breckenridge


  • Street parking in Breckenridge is metered and enforced, bring your credit or debit card or download the 'Passport' app for mobile parking registration.


  • Parking in town-operated or resort lots is prohibited between 2:00AM to 6:00AM.

    • Paid overnight parking is only allowed in the Stephen C. Ice Arena, Runway Oversized Lot, or Breckenridge Nordic Center (winter seasonal).


  • Street Parking is restricted year-round unless explicitly posted.


  • Avoid parking in restricted zones to prevent fines or towing.


  • Empty green room with wall-mounted bike racks, wood floor, ceiling lights, two windows, and a radiator.

How to Ditch the Car for Local Adventures


Breckenridge’s compact downtown, surrounding trails, and incredible FREE public transportation make it easy to explore without a car. Here are ways to get around once you’ve parked or made it here via an alternative mode of transportation:


  • Walk: The Wedgewood Lodge is 0.4 miles (0.64km) from the heart of Breckenridge Main Street. Breckenridge Main Street is less than a mile long. Walking from the lodge and exploring more than 200+ stores on Main street is walking accessible.


  • Bike: Rent a bike from Charter Sports or bring your own. Breckenridge is bike friendly. Securely store and repair your gear in the Wedgewood Lodge bike room.


  • Free Local Public Transportation: The Breckenridge FreeRide takes you around Breckenridge! The Snowflake stop is across the street from the Wedgewood Lodge.


  • Free County Public Transportation: The Summit Stage bus can take you all around Summit County for free! Catch a ride at Breckenridge Station.


  • If you've booked activites at Good Times Adventures or Breck Stables, you will want to plan ahead and reseve a private shuttle, personal vehicle, or plan on walking in addition to taking free public trasnportation.


Leaving your car at Wedgewood Lodge or ditching it entirely lets you enjoy Breckenridge’s charm without worrying about paying for parking, traffic, and navigating town. Breckenridge’s 4th of July celebration is a highlight of the summer. The town hosts a parade filled with colorful floats, live music, and community celebrations. The parade route starts on the North end of Breckenridge Main Street and finishes at the South end.


After the parade, the fun continues with live music, food vendors, and family-friendly activities in the park. As evening falls, the sky lights up with a spectacular drone show featuring the 10 Mile Range as a backdrop. The combination of mountain scenery and patriotic spirit makes this event unforgettable.

Get dropped off at the top of the pass and ride all the way down to Frisco, then cruise back into Breckenridge.


Interested in biking, but only if there's beer? Check out Ridden's fat tire bike brewery tours. Join a tour or do a self-guided exploration of all the exceptional breweries. Stop by the highest elevation distillery and take advantage of their free distillery shuttle.


There are several fishing retailers in Breckenridge. Bring you own gear or stop by a local shop to book a guided excusion. The closest fishing spot, if you're staying at the Wedgewood Lodge, is Sawmill Reservoir.


Dillion Reservoir has great spots for kayaking, canoeing, and stand-up paddle boarding. Bring your own craft or rent at the marinas in Frisco or Dillion. If you're looking for a larger craft like a sailboat or pontoon boat check out the Dillion Marina for rentals or guided sail boat excursions.


Breckenridge has the best public golf course. Book a tee time and see how far your ball flies at 9,600ft. Summit Couny is also home to some of the most iconic free disc golf courses. If you're car-free in Breckenridge utilize the free Summit Stage bus to access these incredible areas.


Check out some of our towns amazing public parks. Additionally, we have a skatepark, tennis courts and pickle ball courts. Stay at the Wedgewood Lodge for access to the Upper Village outdoor heated pool.


Downtown Breckenridge is full of shops, galleries, and cafes where folks can relax after a day outdoors. Local Sunday Markets and art fairs add to the summer vibe, offering unique souvenirs and fresh produce.
