One of the newest events this July is Breckenridge Wildflower Week. This inaugural celebration invites visitors to explore the vibrant alpine meadows and trails filled with blooming wildflowers. Guided hikes, photography workshops, and educational talks help guests appreciate the diverse flora of Summit County. The event is perfect for nature lovers, families, and anyone looking to connect with the outdoors.
Breckenridge has always had wildflowers; however, this is the first time the Town of Breckenridge is pairing this natural spectacle with activities that enhance the experience and foster a deeper appreciation for our stunning environment.

43rd Annual Mountain Art Festival
(Thursday July 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, 2026)

Date & Time: Thursday July 2nd - Saturday July 4th (10:00am - 5:00pm Daily)
Art lovers unite! Visit a free nationally ranked fine art festival this July in beautiful Breckenridge, Colorado. Artists will be present to discuss their original work and do demonstrations. Everyone is welcome to attend this awesome and family friendly event.

4th of July Parade
(Saturday, July 4th, 2026)
Breckenridge’s 4th of July celebration is a highlight of the summer. The town hosts a parade filled with colorful floats, live music, and community celebrations. The parade route starts on the North end of Breckenridge Main Street and finishes at the South end.
After the parade, the fun continues with live music, food vendors, and family-friendly activities in the park. As evening falls, the sky lights up with a spectacular drone show featuring the 10 Mile Range as a backdrop. The combination of mountain scenery and patriotic spirit makes this event unforgettable.

Breckenridge Summer Beer Festival
(Saturday, July 11th, 2026)
Location: Beaver Run Resort (620 Village Rd, Breckenridge, CO 80424)
Date & Time: Saturday, July 11th (12:00pm - 5:00pm)
Cost: $30 to $125 depending on package type.
For those who enjoy craft beer, the Breckenridge Summer Beer Festival is a must-visit. Held in mid-July, this event showcases a wide variety of beers from local breweries and beyond. Attendees can sample unique brews, meet the brewers, and enjoy live music in a relaxed outdoor setting.
The festival also features food trucks and vendors offering delicious pairings to complement the beer. It’s a great way to experience the local flavor of Summit County while socializing with fellow beer enthusiasts.
This outdoor event will take place in the parking lot adjacent to the Beaver Run Resort and Conference Center. Stay at the Wedgewood Lodge for convenient walking access or take advantage of the Breckenridge's Free Ride bus.

Date & Time: Thursday, July 16th (5:00pm to 8:00pm)
Cost: $250 + Service Fee or $200 for Members
Support Breck Create by attending their annual fundraising event. This immersive summer evening will feature local chefs, craft cocktails, and interactive art studios. Attendees wander the historic Ridge Street Arts Square campus to enjoy culinary tastings, live music, and unexpected circus-style performances, all supporting the organizations's free education and community arts programming.
Childcare will be provided for bathroom independant children 3 years and older. Please go online and register for this service. From the Wedgewood Lodge you can walk, bike, or hope of the Free Ride bus.
Breckenridge Food and Wine Festival
(Friday, July 24th - Sunday, July 26th, 2026)
Location: Sauce on the Maggie (655 S Park Ave, Breckenridge, CO 80424)
Date & Time: Friday July 24th - Sunday July 26th (Check times online, varies daily)
Cost: $87.35 - $431.34 depending on package type.
July also brings the Breckenridge Food and Wine Festival, an event that celebrates the region’s culinary talents and vintners. This festival offers wine tastings, cooking demonstrations, and a gourmet dinner featuring local ingredients. It attracts food lovers who want to explore new flavors and enjoy elegant dining experiences.

July in Breckenridge offers a huge variety of activities. Hiking, biking, and fishing are popular ways to enjoy the warm weather and stunning landscapes.
There are so many incredible hikes within walking distance from Wedgewood Lodge. Check out the trails close to home, or hop on the Breckenridge Free Ride to explore even more. There can be limited parking at trailheads, arrive early and adhere to signs.
Bring your own bike or rent one in town. Charter Sports is a frisbee's throw away from Wedgewood Lodge. Mention your staying with us and they'll make sure you get the best gear for the best prices. Hit the trails, bike parks, or the Blue River paved bike path. Looking to maximize your ride? Book a Vail Pass E-bike excusion! Get dropped off at the top of the pass and ride all the way down to Frisco, then cruise back into Breckenridge.
Interested in biking, but only if there's beer? Check out Ridden's fat tire bike brewery tours. Join a tour or do a self-guided exploration of all the exceptional breweries. Stop by the highest elevation distillery and take advantage of their free distillery shuttle.
There are several fishing retailers in Breckenridge. Bring you own gear or stop by a local shop to book a guided excusion. The closest fishing spot, if you're staying at the Wedgewood Lodge, is Sawmill Reservoir.
Dillion Reservoir has great spots for kayaking, canoeing, and stand-up paddle boarding. Bring your own craft or rent at the marinas in Frisco or Dillion. If you're looking for a larger craft like a sailboat or pontoon boat check out the Dillion Marina for rentals or guided sail boat excursions.
Breckenridge has the best public golf course. Book a tee time and see how far your ball flies at 9,600ft. Summit Couny is also home to some of the most iconic free disc golf courses. If you're car-free in Breckenridge utilize the free Summit Stage bus to access these incredible areas.
Check out some of our towns amazing public parks. Additionally, we have a skatepark, tennis courts and pickle ball courts. Stay at the Wedgewood Lodge for access to the Upper Village outdoor heated pool.
