Breckenridge Oktoberfest Is Upon Us!

  • August 23, 2019

Oktoberfest season is here!  This year is the 25th Annual Breckenridge Oktoberfest which will take place over 3 days, September 6-8. There will be plenty of opportunities to drink beer, eat brats, schnitzels, and pretzels, and dance along to the famous chicken dance! History Of The Oktoberfest The first Oktoberfest was held in celebration of the marriage of Prince Ludwig and Theresa of Saxe-Hildeburghausen in Bavaria on October 12, 1810. LIKE IT MORE LAID BACK? DRIVE TO PARK COUNTY FOR THE DAY!

  • July 12, 2019

You may find during your stay in one of our condos or townhomes at Wedgewood Lodge that it sometimes gets a bit crowded in Breckenridge during high season. You can get away from it all by taking a short drive south on Highway 9, which takes you over the Continental Divide at Hoosier Pass into Park County. • March 18, 2019

Breckenridge has taken several top honors as one of the most popular ski destination in North America and also, one of the best places to live! With a 94" snow depth this season so far, this makes it one of the best ski seasons in Breckenridge since it's opening day, December 18, 1961. We are proud to be known as one of the top places to ski & snowboard. However, we realize not everyone is into skiing - and we are thankful as it would be way too crowded on the mountain! Here are some of our favorite off-mountain activities - you should try at least one or two, they are all a great way to experience...

Splish-Splash!

  • August 3, 2014

Typically I spend my birthday whistling nonchalantly and pretending I don't know what day it is.  Well, that's what I've been doing for the past four or five years anyway.  That wasn't the case this year.  This year I decided I wanted to start off the home stretch of my thirties with a big splash. At the Wedgewood Lodge we work with Performance Tours and they give our guests a discount.  I contacted Kevin to book our trip and then spent the following two weeks riling my children into a feverish frenzy of excitement.  Because how else do you think Moms have fun? On...
