Breckenridge is known as one of North America's best ski towns and is consistently nominated in magazines and blogs as one of the best places to live. You can pretty much count on a lot of snow during any given winter season! But what, exactly, are some of the reasons that we do get so much snow? Long story short, we are surrounded by "fourteeners." From Breckenridge, you can see Quandary, Grays Peak and Torreys Peak. From the top of Imperial Lift, you can see Mountain of the Holy Cross, Mt. Massive Mountain and, in the distance, Pikes Peak. These mountains have a huge influence on snow conditions....

LIKE IT MORE LAID BACK? DRIVE TO PARK COUNTY FOR THE DAY!

You may find during your stay in one of our condos or townhomes at Wedgewood Lodge that it sometimes gets a bit crowded in Breckenridge during high season. You can get away from it all by taking a short drive south on Highway 9, which takes you over the Continental Divide at Hoosier Pass into Park County. Although Park County is a less-travelled pocket of Colorado than Summit County, you'll find it no less awe-inspiring!
