Breckenridge Music Festival Takes Over Town

  • July 13, 2017

For nearly 30 years the Breckenridge Music Festival (BMF) has strived to provide a diversified musical experience for the residents and guests of Breckenridge, Colorado. What started in the summer of 1980 with a 10-day music festival has blossomed into a year-round series of events including a winter performance series; a non-classical performance series; a classical orchestral summer series; and various musical experiences including in-home concerts of chamber music and other educational programs.

Each year the BMF brings over 40 distinguished musicians from all over the world to partake in one of Breckenridge’s most cherished annual events. At any point during the year one can enjoy jazz, classical, rock, blues, and other mixed genres. This summer, why not take a break from the hustle and bustle of “real” life and come visit our Breckenridge hotel for some amazing music in the mountains?!

In the beginning, concerts were held at the now defunct Bergenhof Restaurant at the base of Peak 8 at Breckenridge Ski Resort. However, as the festival started to grow, the event eventually moved into various spots in town making it more accessible to its guests and providing the foundation for what it is today … which not only provides year-round music, but a heavy educational component as well.
